
The Washington DC area offers visitors the opportunity to visit many other places of interest including parks, farms, gardens and historic and entertainment venues. Near the center of the National Mall, the Ellipse and the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool are found. many other places of interest are located in downtown D.C. including the Bureau of Engraving & Printing, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Frederick Douglas National Historic Site, National Arboretum, Old Post Office, United States Botanic Garden, and Union Station. The regional rail transportation system, Washington Metrorail (Metro) is an attraction in itself. In the northwestern portion of the city, particularly along Connecticut Avenue is a collection a Foreign Government Embassies. In Georgetown, the Chesapeake and Potomac National Park is found along with other attractions.
Across the Potomac in Northern Virginia attractions include; Claude Moore Colonial Farm, Colvin Run Mill Park, George Washington Memorial Parkway, George Washington's Mill, Green Spring Gardens Park Center, Meadowlark Gardens Regional Park and the Wolf Trap Farm Park for the Performing Arts.
