The
United States Navy Memorial honors those who have served in the U.S. Navy since it's inception. 
The memorial centerpiece is a 100 foot diameter granite map of the world surrounded by relief sculptural depictions of historic events in US Naval history. The Naval Heritage Center located adjacent to the memorial houses a theatre (admission $3.75 for film showings), an electronic log including the names of 500,000 navy veterans and other displays.
