Colvin Run Mill
Colvin Run Mill consists of an early 19th century operating grist mill, miller's house, general store, and dairy barn. The mill, which has been restored, was probably built after 1811 on the site of an older mill. The gears and machinery are made almost entirely of wood, and it is representative of the commercial mills that ground grain for both market and local home use. The miller’s house is next to the mill. The mill park also includes a country store, post office, and blacksmith shop. Owned and operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority. Open: Open daily March through December except Tuesdays. Admission: Free Related Links: FCPA Colvin Run Mill Website
