The Smithsonian American Art Museum features paintings, sculpture, folk art, photographs and graphics by American artists from the 18th century to the present. It is dedicated to the enjoyment and understanding of American art celebrating the extraordinary creativity of America's artists, whose works are a reflection of the American experience.  Open: Daily 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (except December 25); extended summer hours determined annually.
