Roosevelt Island
Theodore Roosevelt Island is
a 88.5 acre island and National Memorial located in the Potomac River
in Washington DC the island which is maintained by the National Park
Service as part of the George Washington Memorial Parkway. It
honors Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th US President. The park
features various trails and a Memorial Plaza featuring a statue of
Roosevelt. No cars or bicycles are permitted on the island which
is reached only on foot by a footbridge from Arlington, Virginia
on its western side. National
